BACKGROUND
Joseph was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, on November 26, 1964. He graduated with honors from McCallie School (1983), magna cum laude from Boston University (B.A., 1987), and from Duke University Law School (J.D., 1990). He was admitted to the Georgia Bar in 1990, the South Carolina Bar in 1991, the Florida Bar in 1996, the United States District Court, District of South Carolina, and the United States Court of Appeals, Fourth Circuit, in 1993. He was admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court in 1999. He is a member of the Charleston County, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, and American Bar Associations. His areas of practice include commercial litigation, legal malpractice defense, product liability, class action litigation, and appellate litigation.
